These terms cover buying from our shop, booking classes and parties, and using this website. By placing an order or booking, you’re agreeing to them. Nothing here takes away your rights under Alberta’s Consumer Protection Act or any other law that protects you as a customer.

Prices and paying
- Prices are in Canadian dollars. GST is added at checkout, and you’ll see the full total before you pay.
- We take credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link, all through Stripe. Your card is charged when you place the order.
- Your order is confirmed when you get the confirmation email. Keep it – it’s your receipt.
- If we’ve priced something wrong, we’ll get in touch before you pick it up or we hold your seat, and you can pay the right price or cancel for a full refund.
Pickup
- For now, shop orders are pickup only, at the studio. Pickup is free, and we’ll email you when your order is ready.
- Want something shipped to you? Get in touch and we’ll sort it out with you.
Returns, damage and mistakes
- All sales are final – we don’t take returns because you’ve changed your mind.
- If something arrives damaged, broken or faulty, or we sent the wrong thing, email us within 7 days with a photo. We’ll replace it or refund you, including the shipping, and you won’t pay to send anything back.
- Original artwork is one of a kind, so it can’t be replaced – if it arrives damaged, we’ll refund you in full. Colours look different on every screen. If you’re in Lethbridge, come see it in the studio before you buy. You’re buying the painting itself – the copyright stays with the artist, so it can’t be reproduced without their OK.
- 3D prints are printed and finished by hand in the studio, so small marks and differences from the photos are part of it. Resin is brittle – handle with care.
- Paint Alongs and other downloads are non-refundable. Please contact us if you have any concerns.
Gift certificates
- Good toward canvas classes, miniature painting, kids’ classes, family experiences, private events and anything in the shop.
- They never expire, and there are no fees.
- Use the code at checkout. If you don’t use the whole amount, the rest stays on the code for next time.
- They can’t be exchanged for cash.
- Lost the code? Email us – we can look it up by the buyer’s or the recipient’s email address.
Classes and workshops
- Online booking closes an hour before the class starts. During checkout we hold your seat for 15 minutes.
- Everything you need is included – canvas, paint and brushes – unless the class says otherwise.
- Each class lists its minimum age.
- Everyone signs our waiver before they paint – online after you book, or at the door. For kids, the parent or guardian signs.
Changing or cancelling
- Up to 7 days before the class, reschedule or cancel yourself from My account and you’ll get a full refund.
- Inside 7 days, we’ll turn your booking into studio credit you can use for 12 months, or you can send someone in your place – just tell us their name.
- If you don’t come and don’t let us know, we can’t refund or credit the seat.
- If we have to cancel a class – too few people, illness, bad weather – you’ll get a full refund, or we’ll move you to another date if you’d rather.
In the studio
- Paint stains, so wear something you don’t mind ruining.
- We can ask anyone who’s abusive, threatening or disruptive to leave. If that happens, there’s no refund or credit.
- Paintings left at the studio for more than 30 days after your class go up for sale, and the money goes to local charities.
Private events and parties
- Send us an enquiry from the Events page and we’ll send you a quote. The quote is good for 7 days.
- Final numbers are due 7 days before the event.
Commissions
Before we start a commission, we’ll agree the size, price, deposit and timeline with you in writing. That agreement is the deal for your piece.
Amazon links
Some links in our gear list go to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, WUB Hobbies earns from qualifying purchases. It doesn’t change what you pay.
Our photos, designs and downloads
- The photos, class designs, Paint Alongs and other content on this site belong to WUB Hobbies or the artists who made them.
- Paint Alongs are for your own use. Paint them as often as you like – please don’t share, resell or post the files.
- Paintings you make in class are yours to keep, share and post.
Using this website
Please don’t use the site to:
- break the law, or get someone else to
- copy, resell or republish our content without permission
- harass, abuse or threaten anyone
- place fake orders or bookings, or use someone else’s card
- upload viruses or anything else meant to harm the site
- scrape or collect other people’s information
If you do, we can close your account and cancel your orders or bookings.
Your account
- Keep your login to yourself – you’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- Keep your details up to date, so your receipts and class updates reach you.
- You can ask us to close your account at any time.
Accuracy of information
- We work to keep product descriptions, photos, class dates and prices right, but mistakes happen. We can correct errors, and change or cancel orders and bookings because of them – if that affects something you’ve paid for, please contact us.
- We can update prices, products and the class schedule at any time. Changes don’t affect anything you’ve already paid for.
Links to other websites
Some links on our site go to other websites, like Amazon in our gear list. We don’t run those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, products or policies – read their terms before you buy.
Our responsibility
- We do our best to keep the website accurate and running, but we can’t promise it’ll always be error-free or available.
- As far as the law allows, if something goes wrong with an order, the most we’re responsible for is what you paid for it.
- Taking part in a class is covered by the waiver you sign.
- If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover the cost of it, including reasonable legal fees.
The fine print
- These terms, our privacy policy and the waiver are the whole agreement between you and us.
- If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don’t enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you order or book is the one that applies to that order or booking.
