Cookies
What the site saves in your browser, and why.
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This is the cookie policy for WUB Hobbies, at wubhobbies.com.
Like most websites, this site uses cookies – tiny files saved in your browser so the site can remember things from one page to the next. This page explains what they collect, how we use them, and why we sometimes need them. For more on cookies in general, see the Wikipedia article on HTTP cookies.
We use cookies for the reasons below. In most cases there’s no way to turn a cookie off without also turning off the part of the site it runs, so if you’re not sure whether you need one, it’s best to leave cookies on.
You can block cookies in your browser settings (your browser’s Help section shows how). Blocking them affects how this site – and most other sites – work. The site still works for reading, but you won’t be able to add things to your cart, check out, book a class or log in to your account.
If you create an account with us, cookies help with signing up and looking after your account. They’re usually deleted when you log out, though some may stay to remember your preferences.
When you’re logged in, cookies remember that, so you don’t have to log in again on every page. They’re removed when you log out, so nobody else on the same browser can get into your account.
When you shop or book a class, cookies remember what’s in your cart as you move between pages, so we can process your order properly. When you place an order, we also save how you found us – Instagram, a Google search, a link in our newsletter – so we know where people hear about us.
If you’ve signed up for our newsletter, cookies may remember that you’re subscribed, so we don’t keep asking you to sign up – and, when you click a link in one of our emails, which email you came from.
When you send us something through a form – a party enquiry, a waitlist sign-up – cookies may remember your details so you don’t have to type them in again.
Some cookies remember how you like to use the site – like whether you’ve visited before – so it can show you the right thing next time.
Some cookies on our site are set by other companies we work with:
Hopefully that’s cleared things up. If there’s something you’re not sure you need, it’s usually safer to leave cookies on – it may be one the shop or your bookings depend on.
